INTRODUCTION

    He was born in Manisa on 31 December 1963. His passion for cinema and aviation began at early years. He moved to İstanbul with his family in 1974.He was admitted to Mimar Sinan University Cinema TV Institute in 1983 as a visiting student and later has completed his education as a full-time student.

    He spent his assistantship period with foreign D.O.P's in the feature films that are being shot in Turkey such as Born of Fire / Istanbul / Dark Waters / Forbes Tour of Turkey.

    He worked as a D.O.P during his school films.  After he was recognized as a competent D.O.P in the films that he had shot with Yeşim Ustaoğlu, he started his career in Cinema and advertising sector. He gained 2 Golden Orange awards on best cinematography and the Siyad (Cinema Authors Association) award with the films that he shot in his school years.  With the 16mm short film called "Nasıl Yani?" that ha had shot in 1999 as the graduation project, he graduated from M.S.Ü Cinema TV Institute with a high degree.
